About Aasraa Trust Aasraa Trust was established in 2009 to work with society’s most underprivileged and vulnerable children from the streets and slums of Dehradun. The Chief Warden will be the primary point of contact for all communication between the Shelter Home Wardens and the management of the Shelter Homes. The Chief Warden will ensure that all Shelter Home activities are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and policies and will work to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all shelter residents. Roles and Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of both the Girls' and Boys' Shelter Homes, including the implementation of regulations and policies. Develop and maintain a proactive approach to problem solving and conflict resolution. Ensure that all shelter home staff, volunteers, and visitors are aware of and comply with all safety protocols. Establish and maintain positive relationships with shelter residents and provide guidance and support to both shelter home wardens. Monitor the performance of all shelter home staff and volunteers and provide feedback as needed. Coordinate and conduct regular staff and volunteer training programs to ensure that all personnel are knowledgeable of and adhere to all policies and procedures. Monitor and report on shelter home activities and provide regular updates to the management. Ensure that all shelter home residents are provided with necessary services, such as medical care, counselling, and educational opportunities. Manage the budget for the Girls' and Boys' Shelter Homes and ensure that all expenses are within budget. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Maintain an effective system for communication with all stakeholders. Liaison with the covered departments and project leads. Serve as a liaison between the shelter homes and external organizations, such as governmental agencies and non-profit organizations. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field. Minimum of five years' experience working in a shelter home or other social service setting. Demonstrated knowledge of applicable regulations and policies governing shelter homes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven organizational and leadership skills. Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ex - Army personnel shall be desirable for this position.
