Appraises vehicle damage to determine cost of repair for insurance claim settlement. Monitoring B&P repair vehicles, ensure timely completion of repairs, liaise with insurance companies for surveys, keep customers updated about the repair status to enhance profitability. Roles & Responsibilities Examines the vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical or interior damage.
Estimates cost of labour and parts to repair or replace each damaged item.
Reviews repair cost estimates with body shop manager.
Ensure vehicle care through use of vehicle protection materials (Seat Covers, Floor Mats, etc.)
Determines feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders and doors.
Monitor the BP repair vehicles & Ensure timely completion of repairs (TAT)
Determines salvage value on total vehicle loss.
Prepares insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations.
Estimates cost of repainting, converting to special purposes or customizing undamaged vehicles.
Gives fair estimates on costs and time required for body work.
Checks quality of completed work.
Liaise with parts manager for parts order and procurement
Liaise with insurance companies for surveys, approvals & payments)
Keep customers updated about the repair status
Enhance Body Shop Revenue (with the help of conversions & VAS)
Keep customers constantly informed about delays and additional work found
Actively promote benefits of Dealer services & Service Parts departments to all customers
Explain & Enquire suitable method to customers for Post Service Follow Up.
