Job Summary: An argon welder, also known as a TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welder, is responsible for joining metal components or structures using the TIG welding process. This involves using specialized equipment to create high-quality welds primarily on stainless steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals. The argon welder must possess a deep understanding of welding techniques, metallurgy, and safety protocols to ensure precise and durable welds. Key Responsibilities:
Set up welding equipment such as TIG welders, gas cylinders, and related tools.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements.
Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and smoothing to ensure proper weld quality.
Perform TIG welding operations to join metal components as per specifications.
Monitor welding processes to maintain quality and ensure adherence to welding codes and standards.
Inspect welds for defects and ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Maintain welding equipment and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Follow safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as an argon welder or TIG welder in a manufacturing or construction environment.
Proficiency in TIG welding techniques and knowledge of various metals and alloys.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
Good physical condition and stamina to work in various positions and environments.
Certification in welding or relevant technical training is often required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional certifications in welding techniques or specific materials (e.g., stainless steel welding).
Experience with welding automation or robotic welding systems.
Familiarity with welding software and computer-aided design (CAD) programs.
Working Conditions: Argon welders typically work in manufacturing plants, construction sites, or workshops where welding activities take place. The job may require working in various positions, including kneeling, bending, and standing for extended periods. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory to ensure safety, including welding helmets, gloves, and protective clothing. Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month Schedule:
