Area Sales Executive
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Target Achievement:
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets in the assigned territory.
- Develop strategies to increase product sales in line with company goals.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance to maximize growth.
- Market Development:
- Identify new business opportunities and increase product distribution within the assigned area.
- Expand the product portfolio by driving sales for newly launched items.
- Distributor/Dealer Management:
- Handle relationships with distributors, retailers, and wholesalers to ensure proper product availability and stock levels.
- Manage distributor claims, stock management, and ensure timely payments.
- Sales Planning & Execution:
- Prepare sales plans and ensure their effective execution.
- Conduct market analysis and competitor research to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Plan and execute promotions, discounts, and offers based on market demands.
- Recruitment & Team Management:
- Recruit under employees for Front line sales
- Lead, train, and manage a team of sales representatives or field officers.
- Regularly evaluate team performance and provide coaching for improvement.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers and retail partners.
- Address customer complaints and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Reporting:
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, stock management, and market conditions.
- Present data to higher management and suggest actionable insights.
- Compliance & Adherence:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical practices, and regulatory guidelines.
- Regularly monitor distributor and retailer performance and ensure adherence to the terms.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related fields.
- Experience: 4-7 years of experience in sales (preferably FMCG or food products).
- Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Odisha market, regional languages (Odia), and local trade dynamics.
Key Competencies:
- Ability to work in a target-driven environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
