Key Responsibilities:
Counselling and Guidance:
Provide one-on-one academic counselling to students regarding course selection, program options, and career paths.
Assist students in setting academic goals and developing study plans.
Guide students in identifying educational opportunities based on their skills, interests, and future aspirations.
Academic Planning:
Help students understand the curriculum and requirements for their chosen courses or degrees.
Monitor academic progress and provide advice on improving performance.
Assist with registration and class scheduling to ensure students meet graduation requirements.
Student Support:
Address students’ concerns related to academic challenges and help them develop effective study habits.
Collaborate with faculty members to identify at-risk students and offer intervention strategies.
Offer support in navigating campus resources, such as tutoring, libraries, and career services.
Admissions and Enrollment:
Counsel prospective students regarding the application process, program options, and admission requirements.
Conduct information sessions and outreach activities to attract potential students.
Assist in resolving any enrollment issues or queries.
Workshops and Seminars:
Organize and conduct workshops on career development, academic success strategies, and time management.
Collaborate with other departments to host seminars on educational trends and industry developments.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions, progress, and recommendations.
Prepare reports on student feedback, counselling activities, and outcomes.
