Fasten your seatbelts - join us as a Data Scientist or AI/Machine Learning Engineer and support our product team on their AI and data journey as a member of the Sirax Team!
You will work with aviation data to build new, data-driven products and develop innovative machine learning applications for the airline industry.

Your tasks will include:

Work with aviation data to enable teams build new, data-driven products and develop innovative uses of machine learning for the airline industry.
Support providing clarity and generate new insights from complex data sets by applying advanced analytical models.
Contribute to the development of end-to-end data solutions in collaboration with cross-functional data experts and business stakeholders.
Experiment with and evaluate different LLM architectures and training techniques to deliver value for our business.
Support in assessing and prioritizing AI Use Cases and conduct hands-on explorations to validate the potential business value and technical feasibility early on leveraging services and tools on Azure or GCP.
Keep up on emerging AI technologies and trends, enable product teams and help kickstart the products’ AI journey.

You are looking for us if you have experiences/qualification in the following fields:
Must Have:

A Bachelor’s / Master’s / Ph D degree in a quantitative discipline such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related subject.
Proficiency using one or more programming or scripting language to work with data, especially Python.
Experience in applying Machine Learning in fields such as NLP, Forecasting, Pricing, Business Intelligence, Predictive Maintenance or Reinforcement Learning.
Working in cloud computing environments, especially Microsoft Azure or GCP.
Hands-on experience using Data Science / Machine Learning libraries (e.g. pandas, Num Py, Sci Py, scikit-learn, Py Torch, Tensor Flow, …).
Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) .
Familiarity with the fundamentals of SQL.
Strong communication skills (our working language is English) and comfort delivering results to stakeholders and colleagues.
A strong desire to learn every day and a self-starter mentality.
Strong focus on generating business results ideally with a working backwards mentally always starting with customer problems and working backwards to relevant solutions.

Preferred:

Project management knowledge, particularly knowledge of agile project setups (e.g. Kanban, Scrum).
Hands-on experience using Data science software platforms (e.g. SAS, Databricks, Vertex AI, AWS Sage Maker, Azure ML, …) and tools (Dv C, MLflow, …).
Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, LLM training, fine-tuning, RAG and evaluation.
