About the Role
The Production Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety in our manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee the daily operations of the production department
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet company targets and customer demands
- Monitor production processes to ensure they are running efficiently and effectively
- Ensure all products meet the company’s quality standards and comply with food safety regulations
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures and protocols
- Supervise, train, and motivate production staff to achieve production goals
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Utilize lean manufacturing techniques to enhance productivity and reduce waste
- Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished products
- Monitor and control production costs to stay within budget
- Prepare and present production reports to senior management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Production Manager in the food industry
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality standards
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficient in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
