ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Finance and Accounting Team Lead to join our Finance team in Athens. Reporting to the Accounting and Finance Operations Manager, you will be responsible for producing the company’s financial results, managing day-to-day finance operations, and driving improvements in processes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with experience in leading teams, implementing process automation, and working in a fast-paced environment. You will have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges. You should be keen to manage a team, mentor junior staff, and support the company's initiatives to scale operations and introduce automation to streamline processes.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Oversee the preparation and production of financial statements and monthly financial results, ensuring both accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage daily cash flow, liquidity, and working capital, while continuously optimizing cash management processes, controls, and policies to mitigate financial risks and ensure the company’s financial stability.
- Develop, manage, and track budgets and financial forecasts to support effective business planning.
- Lead initiatives focused on process automation and scaling financial operations to improve efficiency.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
- Mentor and manage junior finance team members
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE
- 5-7 years of experience in finance and accounting; working knowledge of Greek GAAP and IFRS, Big 4 experience is highly advantageous.
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, or working towards one of these qualifications.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional numerical skills, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- A proactive approach with strong multi-tasking skills, able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, growing environment.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, with experience using accounting software or financial reporting solutions.
- Worked within a multinational group company structure and handled international consolidations.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Fulfilled military obligations (where applicable)
