As the Director of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in driving the financial strategy of the company, ensuring sustainable growth and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and risk management, while collaborating closely with other departments to align financial goals with overarching business strategies. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of the company’s financial strategy.
Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations for financial planning.
Compile and present regular reports to the Executive Board of the company. Assist the Board of Directors by providing in-depth financial analyses, and strategies for long-term planning.
Oversee the preparation and approval of financial statements in accordance with Greek accounting standards.
Overview the accounting department, provide guidance and support, to ensure the smooth operation of the accounting department and the adequate internal controls at all levels.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and uphold strong financial policies and procedures.
Oversee and manage the necessary procedures associated with subsidies and development initiatives.
Maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions to secure project financing.
Provide guidance, support, and motivation to the members of the accounting team.
Requirements
University degree in Economics, Accounting, or Finance. A postgraduate degree (MSc or MBA) is considered an asset.
Significant experience in senior finance leadership roles, in well-established Greek companies, ideally in the food industry specifically within a manufacturing company.
Class A signatory authority.
Excellent knowledge of accounting and tax legislation.
In-depth understanding of MY DATA obligations.
Excellent knowledge of Greek Accounting Standards.
Fluency in English.
Proficient in PC applications, ERP, and accounting software.
