Vice President, Commercial, Services Business Line

We are looking for a

Vice President, Commercial, Services Business Line

to ensure that Normet has competitive commercial offering in the market by using value-driven customer models and proactive tools to drive sales. In this role you will price our offering in a competitive manner, drive new business models with our customers and sales of the whole Normet services portfolio. You will have a central role in compiling the results of Normet's several teams and seeing the big picture. You will be a member of Services Business Leadership team, responsible for a team driving pricing, contract management, rental and used business, dealer management and sales of parts of the portfolio. The role is based in Espoo, Finland.
Your Service Commercial Team performs analyses on market potential and helps Sales Areas identify new opportunities. It also ensures pricing is aligned with the market, drives the targeted margin contribution improvement, business models, adjusts pricing and follows up the results. In co-operation with the Sales Areas, the team will work on new business models and supports Sales Areas with standard templates for contracts and other key commercial documents. In 2023, Services business line total sales were about 210 M€ with a CAGR ~ 15% year-on-year for last 5 years. We expect growth to continue and improve further.

Main responsibilities and tasks:
  • Leading Services Commercial Team with approximately ten team members
  • Working with sales to define new value-based business models based on inputs from the Portfolio team
  • Driving proactively service sales with the Sales Areas and helps to identify opportunities
  • Driving analytics for market share vs fleet and actions plans to increase Normet market share
  • Facilitating monthly service business reviews with Sales Areas
  • Working with Portfolio team on spare parts price-setting and margin development
  • Managing sales of certain Normet’s products
  • Maintaining service price lists for Sales Areas and key customers
  • Developing and maintaining e.g. key commercial documents, contracts, terms & conditions in co-operation with legal team
  • Analysing margin and sales gaps and providing proactive proposals on price level adjustments
  • Supporting the digital team with key initiatives, such as E-commerce, Digital Services

To shine in this position, we hope you to have:
  • Master’s degree in technology / business / industrial management, engineering, economics or similar with a total experience of more than 20 years
  • At least 10 years of working experience, in commercials management, sales or pricing in heavy machinery industry or other service-driven industry
  • Proven track record on co-creating new business models and offering with customers
  • Proactive sales mindset and experience on customer negotiations and contract management
  • Relevant work experience in commercials, e.g. sales, pricing, commercial models, financials analysis
  • Proven experience in leading operations that lead to sustainable margin improvement
  • Proven leadership experience with a strong track record in people management
  • Experience in working in cross-functional and international environment
  • Strong networking and collaboration capabilities and ability to communicate with and get attraction from the top management and customers
  • Understanding of finance and basics of profit & loss statement and commercials at industrial business
  • Fluent in English
