We are now seeking a Sourcing Manager for packaging materials to help us further building the future of food. You will be based in Vuosaari, Finland and report to the Head of Sourcing, Packaging. You will be a part of a great team of people based in our locations across Europe – Finland, UK, Belgium, Sweden, Spain, Estonia. This position is a fixed term parental leave replacement for an estimated period of ~1 year.
In this role as Sourcing Manager, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for driving and executing sourcing activities based on category sourcing strategies, policies and market requirements specifically for Coffee and Spice-packaging materials but also contributing to other packaging areas as needed.
What you will do
- Contribute actively on the development and implementation of packaging sourcing strategy
- Conducting supplier selection, relationship management, negotiations in line with accepted strategy and policies, practices, and sustainability guidelines
- Continuously evaluate suppliers’ performance based on cost, quality, service, availability, reliability, sustainability and flexibility and conduct corrective actions as needed
- Lead actively local sourcing projects together with internal stakeholders and Suppliers
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders e.g. Brand & Portfolio, Sales, Supply Planning and R&D to meet objectives set for the packaging category.
- Monitor & benchmark market trends, development, and best practices
- Identify, realize and track saving opportunities and initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement in your area of responsibility
What we expect from you
You would be a great fit if your background and experience would look similar to this:
- University degree with major in economics, engineering, or similar
- 3+ years’ experience in sourcing in an international environment, particularly packaging sourcing experience is seen as benefit to this role
- Analytical skills and mindset combined with extended negotiations skills and knowledge of commercial contracts
- Strong business acumen, result oriented, making things happen
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge and skills of MS Office tools (Excel, Power Point etc.)
- To enjoy this role, you need to be a team player with a positive and energetic can-do attitude, capability for building partnerships, and at the same time ability to work independently
- This position suits someone who enjoys working in fast moving area and is able to handle new directions and working with several tasks simultaneously
- Fluency in written and spoken Finnish and English
