We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our new Enterprise Core IT team of the stand-alone Industrial Fire business and take a role in the separation process as well as setting up the IT infrastructure. As the Server Infrastructure and Cloud Hosting Senior Expert, you will impact the success of Industrial Fire and ensure the growth of the business.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Server Infrastructure Management:

Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of on-premise server infrastructure, including physical servers, virtualization platforms, and storage systems.
Develop and implement server management policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Establish processes to monitor server health, capacity, and resource utilization to identify and address potential issues proactively.
Overall operational and development budget ownership for both on-premise and cloud hosting solutions

Cloud Hosting Strategy:

Lead the evaluation, selection, and adoption of cloud hosting solutions (AWS and Azure) as part of our cloud first strategy to complement on-premise infrastructure and meet business requirements optimizing our server footprint.
Architect and implement cloud-based infrastructure as a service (Iaa S) solutions, including virtual machines, storage, and networking components.
Optimize cloud resources and costs through efficient utilization and implementation of automation tools and techniques.
Work cross-functionally to understand cloud requirements and specifications; communicates requirements to Digital counterparts.

Security and Compliance:

Implement and enforce security measures to protect server infrastructure and hosted applications against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS) through proper configuration and security controls.

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures to minimize downtime and data loss in the event of server failures or disasters.
Test and validate disaster recovery capabilities regularly to ensure readiness and effectiveness.

Partner management and Collaboration:

Evaluate, plan and select vendors and technology partners for your domain.
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements.
Collaborate with other IT teams, stakeholders, and vendors to align server infrastructure and cloud hosting initiatives with business goals and objectives.

To be successful in this role, you need:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Extensive experience in server administration, including managing large multi-company physical and virtualized server environments.
Strong proficiency in cloud computing platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
In-depth knowledge of server hardware, operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), and networking principles.
Familiarity with security concepts and best practices in server and cloud environments.
Familiarity with Agile principles and SCRUM techniques
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders, also being able to have an impact on the people and customers you support
Process driven and analytical approach, being able to operate effectively in times of change and uncertainty

It would be an advantage if you have:

Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
