Your role and responsibilities
The work model for the role is: #LI-hybrid We are now looking for an HR Specialist to join the ABB Finland HR team in Vaasa for a temporary contract ending 30.6.2025. As an HR Specialist of the Global HR Operational Services team, you will be responsible for delivering HR Service support to the HR community, managers and employees. You will provide a high level of support for internal customers, with accurate and timely processing of information for all stakeholders mainly focusing on supporting our employees in Finland. Additionally, we are currently implementing a new time management system Jot Bar which is a project you will be supporting us with. You will be mainly accountable for: • Delivering HR Time Management and Payroll Service support to the HR community, business managers and employees according to defined Service Level Agreements • Processing HR requests related to multiple service lines (Compensation & Performance, Payroll, and HRIS) for an assigned group of employees • Providing a high level of support for internal customers, with accurate and timely processing of information for all stakeholders, while ensuring that quality controls are maintained • Identifying opportunities for improvement based on feedback and experience with customers and taking the lead on process improvement projects • Communicating information regarding policies and standards on assigned processes to internal customers in a clear and concise manner to ensure understanding and adoption • Preparing accurate reports and documents for external authorities • Ensuring that all systems and databases remain up to date with current employee and organizational information, maintaining a high level of data quality and accuracy and providing on-demand reports where required
Qualifications for the role
B.Sc. or M.Sc. level degree from a suitable field, e.g. Economics or Administration
Solid understanding of HR practices and processes
Passion for problem solving with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously within set schedules
Several years of experience in Human Resources, especially in time management and/or payroll
Good knowledge of Technology Industry Collective Bargaining Agreements
Knowledge of SAP HR, Jot Bar, Workday and MS Office
A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach to work with and strong communication skills
A proactive way of working to serve customers with a “can-do” attitude
Fluency in Finnish, both in written and spoken.
