What kind of work is this?
We are looking for a strategic and experienced Head of Cloud to build and lead our Cloud Ops team. You will define and implement cloud strategies that align with business goals, ensuring the secure and efficient operation of our cloud infrastructure. The role focuses on optimizing costs, maintaining security, and ensuring the architecture supports current and future business needs.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Dev Ops, to deliver scalable and reliable cloud solutions for our medical software products. Together with your team, you will stay updated on cloud technologies and practices to continually enhance cloud operations.
This is a new role and team at Topcon, starting with two existing roles and expanding to a five-person team. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing processes, ensuring compliance during internal and external audits. As a supervisor, you'll oversee the team’s efficiency, work quality, and well-being while supporting their growth and engagement. The preferred location is Helsinki or Oulu, with a hybrid model allowing some remote work as needed. Unfortunately, we do not offer relocation services or fully remote options for this position

Strong understanding of business requirements and global operations

Proven leadership abilities with expertise in planning, organizing, and communication

- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, with knowledge of process development and implementation

Familiarity with Iaa S, Paa S, and Saa S models, as well as containerization and microservices
- Good grasp of cloud security principles, Dev Ops practices, and automation tools
- Understanding of software development processes, support, and escalation procedures
- Ability to follow KPIs and present effectively to various stakeholders
