We are looking for an experienced professional to lead the portfolio of key Global Operations projects in within Orion's Corporate Program Management unit. You will be working in a strategic position to enhance Orion's future competitiveness and internationalization. Description of position Director, Operations Portfolio Management is responsible for defining and managing Global Operations project portfolios, ensuring that strategic and operational business goals are met effectively. You will lead a team of project and portfolio managers responsible for managing Orion's supply chain and quality assurance laboratories’ key investment, contract manufacturing and outsourcing projects. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in developing guidelines, practices, tools, processes, and competencies for project and portfolio management. You will also act as a business partner for the management teams of business units and operational units, fostering collaboration, strategic decision-making, and the successful execution of projects. Description of unit The Corporate Strategy and Program Management organization (CSPMO) consists of the Strategy and Risk Management, Corporate Program Management, and Information Management units. Our organization includes approximately 100 people, about two-thirds of whom are in Espoo. Other locations include Turku, Kuopio, Hanko, Mumbai, and Nottingham. Our areas of responsibility include strategic planning, risk management, project management, and information management. Relevant education for the position, such as an academic business or technical education, M.Sc., pharmacist, chemist, or equivalent higher education degree
Previous experience in project and portfolio management tasks and successful management of large project activities or operational entities
Supervisory and change management experience
General knowledge of pharmaceutical industry processes, as well as supply chain investment projects and technology transfer projects, is considered an advantage
Technical-economic and analytical skills
Excellent leadership, teamwork, networking, negotiation, and communication skills
Dynamic and proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset
Excellent skills in Finnish and English
