Senior Software Engineer (Backend) - Node.js
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Node.js to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our backend systems, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and performant. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions and contribute to the success of our projects.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and services using Node.js and associated technologies. Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to understand and refine project requirements. Implement high-quality code following best practices and coding standards, while ensuring code is maintainable and efficient. Optimize and scale existing systems to handle increased loads and maintain optimal performance. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner. Perform code reviews to maintain code quality and provide constructive feedback to peers. Research and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance the development process. Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and development. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in backend development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer, with a strong focus on backend development using Node.js. Proficiency in server-side technologies, including Express.js or similar frameworks. Strong knowledge of databases, both SQL (e.g., Postgre SQL, My SQL) and No SQL (e.g., Mongo DB). Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Solid understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. A passion for staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in the Node.js and backend development ecosystem.
