Design, deploy, and maintain highly available and scalable network architectures, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud networks.
Implement and manage security measures across network infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs to protect against threats.
Monitor network performance and security logs, and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and security of the network.
Configure and manage firewalls to ensure that access control policies are effectively enforced and that the network is protected from unauthorized access.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions to enhance network security.
Work closely with the IT, Dev Ops, and development teams to ensure seamless integration of network and security solutions with existing systems.
Develop and maintain incident response plans, and lead the response efforts in case of security breaches or network incidents.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, security policies, and incident reports.
Ensure that network security practices comply with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, or a related field required.
Minimum 4+ years of experience in networking and security engineering, preferably in the telecommunications sector.
Proficiency in network design and architecture (LAN, WAN, VPN, etc.).
Strong experience with network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs).
Knowledge of SIEM and SOC.
Expertise in configuring and managing network devices (routers, switches, load balancers).
Familiarity with security standards and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
Knowledge of cloud networking and security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCNA Security, CISSP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Ability to automate network and security tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative approach.
Advanced certifications such as CCIE, CISM, or equivalent.
Previous experience working within the telecommunications industry.
Hands-on experience with cloud security tools and practices.
