Category Associate Manager | MAF Global Solutions | Procurement
ROLE SUMMARY
The role of the Category Associate Manager will be responsible for delivering and executing strategic sourcing and other procurement processes, supporting all operating countries and all Operating Companies. The role will need to help in collaborating with stakeholders, Category Manager and Category Leads on the development and implementation of category strategies and plans to achieve goals and objectives and will be accountable for driving improved and sustainable category value.
ROLE PROFILE
Sourcing Strategies Implementation: Implement sourcing strategies in compliance with legal, internal policies, good practices, and business goals on a project level.
Project Management: Manage sourcing activities for new project development, achieving agreed milestones and key development timelines.
Team Management: Manage the procurement team and represent them in weekly meetings with internal business clients. Ensure workflow efficiency and timely job completion.
Stakeholder Relationship: Build strong relationships with stakeholders and support the team in overcoming obstacles.
Cost Reduction: Provide oversight for cost reduction based on technical and commercial intelligence, aiming to improve cost effectiveness.
Negotiation and Contracting: Manage price negotiation and finalize commercial supply agreements/contracts in alignment with procurement services.
Data Analysis and Supplier Management: Analyze spend patterns, identify cost drivers and opportunities, analyze supplier offers, and quantify total costs of ownership (TCO). Manage supplier relationships and performance.
Process Improvement and Reporting: Participate in improving procurement processes and governance. Regularly report on sourcing strategies, outcomes, recommendations, and benefits.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or in a related field, based on the categories managed and a professional Procurement qualification (e.g. MCIPS) would be a Plus
At least 5-6 years’ experience in contracting or category management, with 1 years’ experience in a relevant leading role.
Preferred experience in indirect Procurement organization; marketing ,Human Capital.
Working in international/ multinational organization , with a regional footprint.
Ideal candidate should have experience with SAP Ariba,SAP Hana ,Coupa Microsoft AX, Oracle, e RFx
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
