Director, Product & Test Engineering
The Director of Test Engineering will lead a team of highly skilled and talented Test Engineers, with responsibilities in managing and overseeing execution of new product development for the current business product lines within ASG division at onsemi. The Director will lead and implement the overall leadership structure, carry out the strategic plan and meet the goals for Project Execution, Process Improvement, Product Quality, and Product Costs, inline with overall organizational goals. This leadership role also requires intimate knowledge of digital, analog, RF test methods and test techniques, familiarity with Df T methods, and extensive experience having worked on ATE platforms.

- BSEE with minimum >15 yrs or MSEE with minimum >10yrs of experience working Product / Test.
- Must have management experience of at least 5+ yrs.
- Experience working with ATE platforms and/or bench systems.
- Strong track record of enabling & bringing multiple products & technologies into high-volume production.
- Good understanding of product financial metrics and terms and proven track record driving cost reduction activities.
- Assess project needs for resourcing, cost budgeting, project planning, forecasting engineering test equipment needs, and staffing programs from inception to manufacturing release, with qualified resources.
- Identify and introduce new technologies and new processes to enable efficient execution of new product development at entitlement goals of cost, quality, and time-to-market.
- Drive compliance to product execution phases for project execution and engagement (Commit, Plan, Create, Validate, Qualify, Ramp).
- Responsible for workforce development, training, career growth plans, including identifying and building skills in critical niche areas.

Candidate is expected to be intimately familiar, well-experienced, and required to participate and actively engage with a hands-on approach in following aspects of product planning, development, and execution:
- At Tape Out: driving / participating in Df T reviews at various design phases, defining requirements for test to enable Df Ts for max testability
- At Si Validation: scheduling, planning, resourcing, prioritizing, and executing to the plan on all post-silicon validation activities for certain complex and analog IPs
- Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills and have ability to work well with all cross-functional teams (Business, Program Management, Design, Systems, Apps teams).
- Own performance reviews, year-end ranking and comp decisions, and people related discipline, PIP, and termination actions.
- Responsible for documenting gaps, lessons learned, and best practices with Design / Df T teams to address on future products
