We are thrilled to announce new IT role at Knorr-Bremse - Architecture Consultant for Monitoring and Backup.
Main duty is to optimize and continuously develop our monitoring solution. You ensure that our systems are efficiently monitored and potential issues are identified early.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

As an Architecture Consultant, you are responsible for the implementation, improvement, and ongoing development of our monitoring infrastructure.
Support in the operation and development of backup systems (Cloud and On-Prem). You work closely with the backup team to develop, implement, and optimize backup strategies, considering both cloud and on-premises systems.
Close collaboration with other infrastructure, application teams, and disciplines such as IT security, IT service management, and enterprise architecture. As an interface between various teams, you ensure that the monitoring and backup solutions are seamlessly integrated into the entire IT infrastructure.
Taking the lead on IT or technical projects within the department. You are responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring projects in the area of monitoring and backup, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Operational interface to external service providers. You coordinate external service providers to ensure that the monitoring and backup systems function optimally.

Requirements:

Completed studies in IT, (business) informatics or a comparable qualification. Academic background in IT is preferred.
Several years of experience in the setup, operation, and orchestration of monitoring solutions like Datadog or comparable Saa S solutions. You have successfully implemented and optimized monitoring systems.
Several years of experience in creating and operationally introducing monitoring standards in an enterprise environment. You are familiar with best practices for monitoring in large companies.
In-depth knowledge of the IT infrastructure technology stack: OS (Windows/Linux), databases (Oracle, Postgre SQL, MS SQL), and network architectures. On-premise and public cloud. You are proficient in handling various technologies and platforms.
Strong communication skills, teamwork, and analytical thinking. You can communicate complex technical information clearly and enjoy working in a team.
Experience in operating backup infrastructures. You have implemented and operated backup solutions.
Experience in leading technical projects and managing external service providers. You can plan, organize, and successfully complete projects.
English at a business fluent level. You can express yourself clearly both in writing and verbally and communicate with international colleagues.
