As a Service Now System Administrator II, you will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and development of the Service Now platform to support business processes and enhance overall IT service delivery. This role requires a combination of proficient technical skills in Java Script, basic hands-on experience with the Service Now platform, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


Responsibilities:
  • Service Now Administration: Perform day-to-day administration tasks, including user management, access control, and system maintenance. Monitor and manage system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal platform functionality.
  • Configuration and Customization: Configure and customize Service Now modules to meet business requirements. Develop and maintain Service Now workflows, forms, business rules, and UI policies.
  • Scripting and Development: Write and maintain scripts in Java Script to enhance Service Now functionality. Develop and maintain Service Now integrations with other systems using REST APIs, SOAP, and relevant technologies.
  • Incident and Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve incidents and problems related to Service Now functionality. Collaborate with Level 1 support and other teams to ensure timely incident resolution.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for configurations, customizations, and troubleshooting procedures. Provide training and support to end-users and junior administrators.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective Service Now solutions. Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure alignment and integration with broader IT strategies.
  • Automation and Orchestration: Design and implement automation solutions to streamline manual processes. Develop and maintain Service Now Orchestration workflows.
  • Platform Upgrades: Participate in Service Now platform upgrades, ensuring a smooth transition and compatibility with existing configurations
Qualifications:
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, associate degree in web development of software development or a related field.
    Experience
    • Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) and additional certifications like Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) are desirable.
    • Proficiency in Java Script, XML, HTML, and other relevant technologies.
    • Basic understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes.
