Summary:
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly qualified Supply Chain Manager to join our special organization. In this executive role, you will have the outstanding opportunity to lead and implement critical supply chain projects with a high priority and complexity. Your expertise , strong analytical skills, and engagement across departments will be important in driving process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement the strategic plans to optimize operations, focusing on priorities assigned by Thermo Fisher current planning workstream.
Take charge of critical projects related to Supply Chain constraints and opportunities, ensuring detailed execution, meeting targets, and giving results to leadership.
Collaborate with Procurement leadership and functional teams to identify areas of opportunity and define the resources and data for implementation.
Partner with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to assemble and activate a dedicated crisis management team, conduct scenario planning, assess crisis impact, communicate, and implement response plans.
Extract, consolidate, and analyze supply chain data to build metrics for continuous improvement exercises, specifically targeting inventory-related excess, aging, and E&O risks reduction.
Lead all aspects of and report key performance indicators for inventory management and other supply chain metrics, proactively proposing and implementing corrective actions when needed.
Serve as a subject matter authority in inventory management methodologies, sales and operations planning, and supply and demand planning.
Provide high-level support to ongoing team activities, offering ad-hoc tools and solution proposals.
Mentor junior members of the Supply Chain team, sharing knowledge and expertise through a detailed and defined learning path.
Stay informed about standard processes in the department operations and management across the company, engaging in continuous learning to remain up-to-date on evolving practices in SCM.
Actively participate as an active contributor in the company’s Business Resource Groups and local initiatives, supplying to committees promoting diversity and inclusion.
Experience:
5+ years of validated experience in Supply Chain positions, including Inventory Management.
Bachelor's degree in value chain management, logistics, engineering, information technologies, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred.
In-depth knowledge of inventory management principles, methodologies, and standard processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify trends and patterns.
Proficiency in using multiple enterprise resource planning (ERPs) and data visualization tools, such as Power BI. Experience with big data analytics tools is desirable.
Excellent skills, able to collaborate with internal and external partners.
Ability to perform in the Thermo Fisher environment, prioritize, and meet tight delivery dates.
Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Professional in Inventory (CPIM) is a plus.
