Job Description
The Service Now Developer must have experience in Information Technology Service Management, Information Technology Business Management, Web services and strong process knowledge. Should have worked on end-to-end Implementation projects on Service Now platform. Overall, the Developer should have technical abilities, thorough understanding of Service Now platform capabilities, and experience in governance and management of the tool.
Location/Division: Lagunilla, Costa Rica Corporate Offices Division
How will you get here? Education Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering preferred or equivalent experience required.
What will you do?
The developer will be responsible for designing, configuring, developing, fixing, and implementing baseline and custom applications to improve the platform by using good practice web programming techniques to configure robust solutions.
Provide software coding and customization including, but not limited to screen tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, integration, scripting, third party software integrations, and custom application development.
Ability to capture and analyze business requirements and document technical solution.
Research new functionality and recommend solutions that deliver customer value.
Analyze, diagnose, and resolve software bugs applying approved procedures.
Update and maintain a comprehensive testing protocol for Service Now instance upgrades with the purpose of certifying all applications for use after the upgrade completes.
Successfully plan, implement, control, and close all technical tasks related to configuration and implementation of all aspects.
Experience
3+ years of experience in implementing end-to-end Service Catalog, Incident Management, Knowledge Management, Configuration & Asset Management, Change and Release Management.
3+ years on Agile framework.
Experienced with Business Rules, Script Includes, and UI Actions.
Scripted Web-Services, AJAX, Java Script, SOAP, REST, MID Server Setup, and Integration of Service Now to other applications.
Works with platform and project management teams to ensure improvements are delivered completely, accurately, and timely.
Experience in implementation of Service Portal with good knowledge of Angular JS.
Knowledge, Skills Abilities
B2+ level of English. Proficient in English written and spoken.
Mentor offshore junior resources and contractors to address potential technical gaps.
Effectively manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail on each project.
Adaptable to change and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
Hardworking and collaborative with a positive attitude.
