Location: Remote (Latin America)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Dev Ops Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing our Dev Ops practices. You will architect and secure Kubernetes clusters and their ecosystems, integrating both Dev Ops and security principles. You will report to the Senior Director of the Application Modernization Practice.
Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:

Troubleshoot, educate, and unblock implementation progress for customers or internal team members.
Collaborate with an Engagement Manager to create effective customer communications.
Gather requirements, document the current state, and provide solutions based on your approach.
Demonstrate expertise during pre-sales calls to potential customers.
Conduct cost-benefit and risk-reward analyses.
Ensure the technical success of client projects.
Refine project management processes to enhance technical delivery efficacy.

Architecture and Design:

Develop and maintain Dev Ops architectural standards and best practices.
Create and uphold standards across various infrastructures.
Implement infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform, Helm, and Git Ops workflows.
Design and implement secure, automated, and scalable CI/CD pipelines.
Design and document systems in AWS to meet customer needs.

Kubernetes Expertise:

Architect and design enterprise-grade Kubernetes clusters for diverse environments, including AWS and on-premises.
Configure and optimize Kubernetes addons for enhanced capabilities and secure integration with external systems (e.g., auto-scaling, load balancing, service meshes).
Enforce RBAC, network policies, and other security measures in multi-tenant environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Kubernetes platforms and hosted applications.
Advocate for Kubernetes best practices and promote their adoption within the organization.

Security Integration:

Lead the integration of security practices into Dev Ops processes, including code scanning, vulnerability assessments, and security testing.
Collaborate with security teams to implement and enforce security controls throughout the development lifecycle.

Toolchain Management:

Evaluate, select, and implement Dev Ops tools and technologies that align with organizational goals.
Optimize existing toolchains for enhanced efficiency and security.

Automation and Orchestration:

Implement automation scripts and tools for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment.
Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (Ia C) templates for both cloud and on-premises environments.

Monitoring and Performance Optimization:

Establish monitoring and alerting systems for security and performance metrics.
Continuously optimize infrastructure and applications for greater efficiency and reliability.

Collaboration and Training:

Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within development, operations, and security teams.
Provide training and mentorship on Dev Ops best practices.

Qualifications:

7+ years of professional experience in a Dev Ops role.
3+ years of professional experience with Kubernetes, AWS EKS, or other container orchestrators.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in Dev Ops, security, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Expertise in CI/CD pipeline design and implementation (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD).
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, Power Shell).
Mastery of containerization and orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
English proficiency at B2+ or C1 level is a must.
Must be based in Latin America.
