A Day in the Life
This position will work directly with Contract Manufacturers that are in charge of producing catheters for Medtronic Dialysis business unit (Mozarc Medical) managing transfers and sustaining activities.
We are seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer I to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and improvement of manufacturing processes for medical devices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Properly document projects deliverables in Medtronic Quality Management System, previous experience using Agile is considered a plus.

Designs and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.

Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.

Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.

May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.

Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools running in suppliers to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.

Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques.

Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
-
Requires Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

1-2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably within the medical device industry.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, process validation, and project management tools. Familiarity with Project Management and statistical analysis is a plus.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

Fluent in English, written and verbal at a professional level.
Nice to Have

Understanding of FDA regulations, ISO 13485, and GMP is preferred.

Good knowledge of ISO 13485.

Cerification Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
