About the Position The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, establishing the product strategy, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and other stakeholders to build and launch successful products and capabilities.
The Product Manager contributes to the product team a deep knowledge of users, the market, how existing products are being used, and what outcomes are the most critical to achieve. The Product Manager establishes and tests product related hypothesis and ensures investments support the company’s overall strategy and goals. Together Product Management, Design and Engineering discover, plan and build effective solutions to meet the product vision and strategy.
The Product Manager is the evangelist for their product area, providing transparency into the product development process, building alignment with company stakeholders, and effectively sharing the product vision and strategy.
Job Requirements and Responsibilities
For assigned areas, develop, validate, and communicate the Product Vision and Strategy
Develop and manage product roadmaps for assigned products, communicating roadmap status and progress to internal stakeholders
Conduct user and market research to understand the competitive landscape and acquire a deep understanding of user and buyer personas including critical customer segments.
Translating user needs into artifacts such as user stories and communicating and sharing those with the Engineering teams.
Participate with Engineering in the Agile Sprint process. Attend sprint planning and retrospectives
Lead the prioritization and backlog of feature requests and be a primary point of contact for technical teams.
Work with Design to collaborate on fit-and-finish, interaction and, exploratory designs
Establish product goals and set and track related metrics
Lead the go-to-market process for new products and capabilities collaborating with Marketing and other stakeholders.
Work with Product Leadership to prioritize the assigned product area within the overall product portfolio and identify and manage dependencies
Participation in product pricing
Skills and Experience
3+ years of experience in agile product management
Deep understanding of product management methodologies including discovery, prioritization and delivery
Experience in conducting user and market research and synthesizing needs and opportunities
Superior communication skills to evangelize product areas and communicate user and business needs
Ability to identify and work with Design and Engineering to solve ambiguous problems
Self-motivated with strong task and time management skills
