About the Role:
Tactical manager of multiple product lines, technologies, or specialized functions that provide support to the manufacturing organization to facilitate efficient operations within the production area, to optimize existing processes, and to ensure that production goals are met.
Monitors performance of equipment, machines, processess and tools to correct problems or processes that produce non-conforming products, low yields or product quality issues. Interfaces with Research and Development and Process Development organizations to integrate new products or processes into the existing manufacturing areas. Devotes a portion of time to managerial, leadership, and staff development responsibilities.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Work jointly with other Managers in order to establish priorities and resource and time allocation plans for executing key initiatives aimed at continuous improvement and the sustainability of the productive functionality.
- Lead the Manufacturing Engineering staff; provide direction, resources and training for the proper development of the function of different level engineers. Encourage the development of the personnel under his/her supervision, as well as facilitating an environment of respect, responsibility and team work.
- Prioritize and manage the execution of multiple area projects. Organizes inter-disciplinary tasks for identifying and solving improvement opportunities in Production and Engineering.
- Facilitate and/or lead VIP, Kaizen and Six Sigma Projects. Maintain and improve inter-departmental relations.
- Assure support to production initiatives of the Site.
- Establish and monitor the area budget. Engage in business results reviews.
- Facilitate and/or co-lead transfer processes of processes, equipment and products.
- Educate and promote world class practices.
- Encourage the development of new technology within processes.
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electronic, Electrical Industrial Maintenance, Business Administration or Equivalent or Related.
- At least 7 years of experience in similar position.
- English Level desired: 90-94%.
- Desired knowledge: Equipment Design & Machining; Tools (Statistics, Technical Manuals, Kaizen, Six Sigma), Problem solving methodologies, Regulatory industry management.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
