Team Overview and Job responsibilities
Prysmian is looking for an Inventory Control Engineer to support our Documenting and reporting inventory control indicators team based in Heredia, Costa Rica. In this position you will supervise, control and guarantee the proper management of the inventory levels, ensuring the efficient handling of products and supplies and guaranteeing that all activities have adequate material to achieve production objectives.
Job responsibilities:
- Establish guidelines to optimize inventory control procedures.
- Inspect the plant levels of supplies and raw materials to detect if stock-outs exist in the plant.
- Ensure that the inventory stock is adequate for production needs to fill the demand.
- Record daily delivery and departures analysis to reconcile inventory.
- Reconcile inventories and cross-reference orders to replenish stock to avoid shortages or an excessive surplus.
- Analyze data to forecast future needs and prepare follow-up reports.
- Conduct weekly scrap analysis and communicate this information to stakeholders.
- Document and report inventory control metrics
Who are we looking for?
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering/chemical engineering production, logistics or related area.
- 3+ years of demonstrable experience in inventory management, supervision and control in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced knowledge in data analysis and statistical reporting.
- Analytical thinking, detail oriented, planning and organizational skills.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
- Advanced MS Office skills.
- Results oriented, assertive communication and teamwork skills.
- Innovation and creative thinking.
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge in Power Bi software, SAP and/or AS400 system.
- Knowledge of accounting.
