Role Summary
The Global PI&C Data Quality Senior Analyst will assist the Global PI&C Director by providing innovative ideas and strategic insights, determining data analytics requirements, and developing effective solutions for a dynamic quality and performance oversight team. This role involves identifying and managing the data required to support ongoing and ad hoc data quality initiatives. Furthermore, the Senior Analyst will be crucial in coordinating comprehensive data analytics aimed at identifying trends, anomalies, insights, and opportunities for process improvements within the organization.
This Senior Analyst will demonstrate accountability and integrity in the face of challenges and respond to change with agility, optimism, and innovation. They will collaborate cross-functionally as appropriate. This role will be based in Costa Rica and work with internal within MEET and external stakeholders including Digital, Compliance, Corporate Audit, among others. The Senior Analyst will report directly to the Global Process Integration and Controls Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage big data and analytics to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of PI&C Level 1 monitoring and oversight activities.
- Support the PI&C team in enhancing a continuous, sustainable, integrated, and adaptable analytical approach to monitor operational, performance and compliance risk within MEET.
- Design comprehensive data analytics methods to detect trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with digital colleagues to determine data analytics requirements and create effective solutions for the team.
- Examine large data sets to aid in informed decision-making and strategic planning.
- Support MEET related projects as needed.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Support the detailed monthly reviews and real time monitoring of selected transactions (via sampling) to ensure adherence to MEET processes
- Support periodic quality reviews of MEET systems to ensure standard controls are functioning as expected
- Support periodic monitoring activities over MAPP Navigator and Navigator+ transactions to ensure accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any of these areas: finance, accounting and/or business administration.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience on any of the following areas: data analytics, quality management, internal controls, compliance, internal and/or external audit, and project management with a focus on teams with significant volumes and risk.
- Proficiency in analytics platforms such as Spotfire, Tableau, and Power BI, as well other data analytics tools and software to interpretate data
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large data sets.
- Proficiency in PC skills (MS Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Strong technical skills in managing transactions within a system
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Fluency in English is a must, additional languages preferred
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Understanding of accounting terms, financial cycle, compliance / financial controls.
- Good organizational skills to coordinate and manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Comfort with ambiguity, anticipates changes, and influences direction of innovative operational strategies
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Fundamental knowledge of a large compliance related, customer facing operations team
- Ability to engage with stakeholders to resolve issues and achieve objectives
- Proficiency with data analysis, storytelling with data visualization
- Experience with accounting or compliance / audit transactions, preferably in a shared service with strong compliance controls.
- Experience with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act is a plus.
