British American Tobacco has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst in Costa Rica
The Planning and Reporting Analyst needs to have a great analytical skill and challenge the status quo. With a thorough understanding of core controllership processes, the Planning and Reporting Senior Analyst is responsible to support US End market in their queries and strengthen the control environment and develop new initiative across the P&R function for the US Market. The role will combine good accounting knowledge with communication skills and solid forecast and planning knowledge.
Your key responsibilities will include
- Monitor & analyses actuals. Review & analyze accruals, reclassifications, & other adjustments, ensuring accuracy & proper accounting treatment.
- Conduct a thorough analysis of variances between actual expenses and forecasted expenditure, providing well-substantiated justifications for deviations. Identify potential improvements within both the expense recording process and the forecasting methodology.
- Perform a comprehensive analysis of variances between monthly forecasts to identify and explain deviations. Develop clear and concise commentary to substantiate requested budget adjustments.
- Oversee accuracy & completeness, collaborate to resolve discrepancies, & report key findings on the Intercompany Recharges process.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the Master Data. Anticipate and address inconsistencies through proactive measures.
- Leverage collaborative efforts to collect essential information and data, enabling the development of a holistic monthly forecast analysis. Subsequently, integrate the final figures into the reporting system.
- Serve as a strategic partner to stakeholders, providing them with insightful and timely financial information tailored to their needs.
What are we looking for?
- University degree or about to graduate in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- Experience in multinational organizations with not less than 3 years of relevant working experience.
- Proficient English level, verbal, and writing (B2+) and advanced Microsoft Office 365; desirable knowledge of BPC-SAP Systems.
- Strong communication skills with influential and good interpersonal abilities, a detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive individual.
- Thrives in fast-paced environments, consistently meeting tight deadlines through efficient organization and time management.
