The Data Quality Intermediate Analyst is responsible for delivering subject matter and industry expertise across the enterprise in coordination with the Data Quality team. This role deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems.
As the business owner of GENESIS, the authorized provisioning point for contracts, positions, and balances, as it relates to Citi’s contractual Balance Sheet, Finance Data Provisioning provides over half of the data inputs into Finance and Risk reporting processes. We also run the operational activities of GENESIS, which includes data quality scorecard monitoring, change management, adjustment processing, and monitoring of data quality on a day-to-day basis.
This position will help to ensure data sourced and provisioned by Data Services meets all required data quality standards. The Data Readiness Oversight (DRO) analyst will assess, evaluate, and analyze data quality issues and drive their corresponding tactical and strategic/permanent resolution. They will collaborate with an array of teams and groups, developing subject matter expertise and knowledge of industry practices and standards. The DRO analyst will also has an oversight of different Genesis processes/activities that has any impact to the different product readiness
Responsibilities:
- Partners with business teams to develop process improvements, solutions, and streamline operational workflows
- Applies professional judgment and attention to detail when interpreting data and results based on the analysis of information
- May occasionally provide informal guidance or on the job training to new or lower-level team members
- Communicates with tact and diplomacy to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information with project stake holders or internal parties
- Works and coordinates with a multidisciplinary group of business leads, operations managers, and technologists
- Report Data Quality issues through the Data Concern Remediation Management process
- Defines detailed business data requirements and documenting them
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years’ Experience with defining and implementing Data Quality programs; Banking or Finance industry preferred
- Proficient in the use of basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated understanding of Database structures
- Flexible, team-oriented and have good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Citi’s Finance system knowledge (and data flow) is a plus (Genesis, Full Suite, Optima, among others)
- Incident Management (Issue management, Service Now or similar tools) is a plus.
