As a Business Analyst, your day involves gathering and analyzing data to identify trends, supporting decision-making through detailed reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define business needs. You’ll participate in meetings with stakeholders to assess requirements, develop solutions, and ensure project alignment with company objectives. You'll also be responsible for creating documentation, tracking project progress, and presenting insights to management, all while continuously seeking opportunities to improve processes and optimize business performance.
A day in this role:
Analyse and interpret business data to identify trends and opportunities
Meet with stakeholders to gather and define project requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and support project initiatives
Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including business requirements and process flows
Present findings, insights, and recommendations to management and stakeholders
Monitor project progress, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines
Identify and propose process improvements to enhance business performance
Conduct regular data validation and ensure accuracy in reporting
The expertise requested:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets
Proficiency in business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SQL)
Experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, and workflow optimization
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with stakeholders
Solid understanding of business processes, operational systems, and project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
Ability to create clear and comprehensive documentation, including business requirements and functional specifications
Familiarity with CRM/ERP systems and other business software applications
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Desired or nice to have expertise:
Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field
Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
Additional certifications in data analysis or business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQ
