What you will do:
Work safely in a surface plant mining environment and follow the procedures and policies in place
Play a critical role in ensuring your own safety and the safety of others
Support mill operations through manual labour including shoveling, washing, operating equipment, loading and unloading of miscellaneous supplies and equipment, light maintenance and other duties as required
Support loadout operations by opening/closing railcar lids to cover absences of loadout operators
What you will bring:
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
Positive safety behaviour and a safety mindset
Ability to work safely and effectively in a labour intensive team environment as well as independently
Stable work record
Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Ability to interact positively with co-workers and supervisors
Willingness to learn and gain required knowledge and experience through training
Prior experience as a plant operator or in an industrial environment would be an asset
Experience with DCS Delta V system would be beneficial but not a requirement
