Technical Coordinator
On behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a Technical Coordinator for a 8 month contract in Edmonton AB.
Technical Coordinator Job Details Reporting to the Supervisor, Process Performance Management, this position is responsible for analysis, preparation, and continued development of data controls across the business technology applications utilized. This role will be essential to review, assess, recommend, and update records to ensure data integrity, and allow for process management.
Technical Coordinator Responsibilities
- Interface with all user groups to develop a thorough understanding of individual system needs and current practices.
- Identify system opportunities and provide recommendations for the strategic use of business applications.
- Support efficient workforce utilization, lifecycle management, and auditability of O&M functions.
- Engaged in all asset management projects to ensure Operational Support Model is defined (working with the OTS team) and training is prepared/developed (collaborating with Workforce Development team).
- Work collaboratively with personnel across Business Units to ensure all requested changes comply with technology governance models established.
- Support the implementation of recommendations brought forward by users to evaluate, assess and/or approve high-level changes regarding data.
- Recommend and complete database maintenance, analytics, and auditing, as required.
- Reconcile and review multiple sources of information to provide recommendations.
- Coordinate and manage mass data uploads, and edits, as required.
- Run reports and pull extracts from business applications as required to meet business needs.
- Perform quality control, job observation, and coaching to support data quality across applications.
- Process confidential data and information according to guidelines.
- Consult with the business to identify process and technology issues across Division.
- Provides project Business Leads within the organization with templates, tools, and resources (where required) to fulfill the requirements gathering, process mapping and gap analysis needs of the business.
- Performs the Business Lead role for asset management initiatives where it is deemed appropriate.
Technical Coordinator Mandatory Skills
- Related post-secondary education (preferably Engineering).
- Experience interpreting and analyzing engineered drawings would be an asset.
- Knowledge of pipeline and gas industry would be an asset.
- Well-developed communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to influence, manage and facilitate projects.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and collaboration skills.
- Business analysis and/or data analysis would be an asset.
- Experience interpreting and analyzing engineered drawings would be an asset.
- Experience in pipeline and gas industry would be an asset.
