PPE 200 – Foundations of PPE
Each week this inter-disciplinary course will focus on a topic of current interest and debate (e.g. health care, international instability, equity, etc.) and examine how that topic would be approached by each of the three disciplines of philosophy, politics, and economics. Emphasis will be placed on the differences between these approaches, and on understandings that emerge only through combining them. The successful candidate will require a broad knowledge of politics and policy in Canadian and international settings as well as a strong understanding of political science methodologies and approaches. This is a co-taught course where all three instructors are present for each lesson.
Position Requirements
- MA or Ph D in Political Science or equivalent discipline; Ph D or Ph D-ABD is preferred
- A record of effective teaching at the post-secondary level
Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range As per URFA Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours
Instructors will deliver the course on campus face-to-face on Mondays from 14:30-1515.
