Job Scope:
The scope of this position involves scheduling the production and packaging lines to fulfill customer orders and maintaining correct inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with management, customer service, distribution and manufacturing to ensure accurate production planning
- Ensure accuracy of inventory data related to production
- Food Safety & Quality responsibility as outlined in SOPs & other training materials provided and accurate record keeping
- Attend prescribed courses/training
- Other duties as assigned by Management
- Communicate DFM with milk receiving to schedule incoming milk deliveries
- Schedule a weekly production and packaging schedules.
- Work with CI to find efficiencies in scheduling
- Coordinate projected cream volumes with our butter facility.
- Keep track of bulk product inventory and adjust production based on levels.
- Review bulk orders and customer demands and ensure we are producing the correct product.
- Assist in selecting cheese by lot and spec
- Input production runs for process, and packaging into our inventory system.
- Communicate any data errors with the appropriate area supervisor.
- Adjust inventory for packaging materials as required.
- Enter in results, allocations as needed
- Provide update KPI on bulk inventory
Qualifications:
- SCMP or APICS required
- Manufacturing experience is an asset
- Post-Secondary Education and minimum 2 years of related experience
- Familiar with total quality management and continuous improvement processes
- Customer focused with good decision-making & problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, including written and verbal
- Proficient computer abilities using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
