The Production Foreperson will be responsible for directing the work of production employees, safety checks as required by the position and administrative duties. They will work with the Operations Management team to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. Responsibilities: · Lead and direct various Production staff. · Coordinate production plan as per the directions of the Production Supervisors. · Record job movement between departments and lines. · Perform daily area safety inspection. · Ensure area is in compliance with HACCP and GMP rules. · Inspect the work assigned to ensure effectiveness. · Participates in performance evaluations. · Complete daily paperwork. · Ensure all employees are complying with company policies. · Conduct short training sessions when required. · Ability to coach, train and support teams members to achieve optimum results. · Temporarily supervise the production floor in absence of the supervisor. Qualifications · Grade 12 education or equivalent. · Must have Lead hand experience. · Production manufacturing experience (preferably in food production). · Ability to work in a cold, wet environment. · Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekend work. · Must be available to work various shift. · Related work experience would be considered. Job Specific Competencies: · Ability to work collaboratively with various team members such as Production Workers, Production Supervisors and Department Heads. · Strong Communication and Problem-Solving skills. · Ability to lead and motivate others.
