SUMMARY This role is responsible for packaging produce for order fulfillment. Occasionally, will be required to work in another department to help with order fulfillment. This includes but is not limited to Warehouse and Quality Control. Responsibilities:
Report safety issues, and damaged and/or broken equipment to the Manager.
Work as a team to promote a healthy work atmosphere by being positive, enthusiastic, and working to the best of his/her ability.
Operating packing machines.
Grading/trimming product.
Wrapping product.
Feeding product through the shrink tunnel.
Packaging product accordingly in bags and/or boxes using the tools provided including electric staplers for stapling cardboard tops to mesh bags or handheld sewing machines.
Dumping product into production line hopper.
Affixing labels to packages or boxes.
Palletizing cases.
Cleaning (including deep cleaning) in/around the work area, warehouse, or yard.
Requirements:
Punctuality is expected.
Ability to lift items of up to 50 pounds in weight and stand for long periods of time.
Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus.
Must be able to follow instructions and possess strong attention to detail.
Willingness to learn and be trained in a variety of industrial packing machines.
Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
