The work location is at Nunavik and the normal work schedule is on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Supervisor, the main responsibilities of the Blaster Helper are :
- Execute all assigned explosive loading tasks as directed by the lead blaster, in compliance with current standards and regulations;
- Assist the blaster in executing blasting work or any other task requiring the use of explosives;
- Prepare the site for the driller;
- Maintain inventory tracking of explosive and non-explosive products;
- Perform equipment inspections before and after each shift;
- If required, assume the responsibilities of the blaster;
- As needed, perform any other tasks requested by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Have the skill to operate a CAT AD30 mining truck, a CAT 420F backhoe, and a Jeep Land Cruiser boom truck;
- Possess a General Explosives Permit;
- Have obtained a high school diploma;
- Familiarity with electronic initiation systems is an asset;
- Possess mining modules FMTM 1 to 5 and 7;
- Have 0 to 2 years of experience;
- Due to frequent interactions with French-speaking team members, bilingualism (French/English) is an asset to facilitate and improve internal communications.
