As a maki Chef we expect you to know (or to learn) how to:

• Unroll cucumbers and cut them into juliennes
• Portion fish (Salmon, Tuna, Hamachi, etc.)
• Hand roll makis (Nori, Rice paper & Soy paper)
• Cut your sushi using a Yanagiba & plate them
• Clean your cooking station after every shift
• Keep your fridge well organized with all item well covered and labeled

As a person we expect you to:

• Control your emotions as you will be working in an open kitchen
• Be able to work in a high pressure environment
• Be sober at work (Alcohol or any other substances)
• Bring positivity and energy at work
• Be a good & supportive team member
• Speak french and/or english

Be advised that we work under a collective agreement that all the tips are shared equally as long as every individual contributes equally to the general cleaning and well being of the restaurant at every shift.
