The Cahill Group is seeking qualified and skilled applicants for a Maintenance Technician in St. John’s, NL. As a Maintenance Technician, you will work within a dynamic, fast-paced team and will play an integral role in troubleshooting various electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. In this position, you will also repair, install, align, and move equipment and production lines in a timely manner. As a Maintenance Technician, you are detail-oriented and will review blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings in a timely manner to provide a thorough solution on the best path forward for ongoing and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Millwright and passionate about contributing to a fast-paced and rewarding work environment. In this position, you will be working Monday through Friday from our Fabrication facilities in St. John's. What will you do?
Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using various schematics and technical drawings.
Attentively review blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to provide a solution on the best path forward.
Run preventative maintenance work orders on a weekly basis.
Assist with the completion of work as required and enter information accurately into the maintenance software program.
Participate in the implementation of various improvement projects and monitor updates for continuous improvement.
Repair, install, align, dismantle, and move equipment and production lines in a time-efficient manner.
Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
Clean, lubricate, and perform machine maintenance as required.
Perform other duties as required.
What will you bring?
5 years’ previous experience in a similar role is required.
Millwright certification is required.
Previous experience in a multi-disciplinary construction environment would be considered an asset.
Knowledge of electrical, automation, and controls systems.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.
Knowledge of Mapcon or other maintenance software’s would be considered an asset.
