You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our metal manufacturing facility by performing maintenance on various types of machinery. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional with experience in mechanical and hydraulic systems who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on old machinery, including punch presses and roll form machines.
Inspect and maintain hydraulic lines and components to ensure proper function and prevent leaks or failures.
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions.
Carry out preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend machinery life.
Collaborate with the production team to identify and prioritize maintenance needs.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and machinery conditions.
Adhere to safety protocols and ensure all equipment is in safe working condition.
Requirements:
Proven experience working with industrial machinery, particularly punch presses, roll form machines, and hydraulic systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Physical ability to lift, move, and work around heavy machinery.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience in a metal manufacturing environment is an asset.
