Reporting to the LRT Fleet Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, this role will be responsible for providing a broad range of administrative services.
What will you do?
Provide support to the Supervisor and section, respond to telephone, e-mail and in-person inquiries
Manage the flow of incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring that documents are recorded and managed according to policy and procedures
Create and maintain files and/or scanning and filing documents in accordance with Corporate and Departmental records management procedures
Format various documents, proofread reports and publications for accuracy, quality and consistency with department and city standards
General administrative duties as required
Qualifications:
Completion of the twelfth (12th) school grade including business subjects related to word and information processing or completion of an appropriate certificate program from an approved business school/college
Minimum of two (2) years of diversified word and information processing experience with a strong grasp of general office operations
Assets:
General knowledge of Edmonton Transit Service and branch lines of business
Experience working with SAP and SIRE
Skills required for success:
Knowledge of City of Edmonton policies and procedures and the ability to make decisions within them
Ability to plan, coordinate work assignments, and summarize and prepare required materials including minutes of meetings
Excellent proofreading skills (grammar, punctuation, spelling) with a high level of accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a focus on time management and balancing competing priorities
Advanced skills in the Google suite of applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive etc.) and Adobe Acrobat; working knowledge of MS Office
Ability to effectively handle sensitive information and using discretion
