Job Summary
The Housekeeping Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and overall appearance of the facility, which may include hotels, resorts, or other hospitality venues. This position involves overseeing the housekeeping staff, managing daily operations, and maintaining high cleanliness and guest satisfaction standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong hospitality and custodial services background, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence. We could offer a room for the winter with a shared kitchen, but it is optional. By spring 2024, the work hours would be 30-plus hours per week. Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff to ensure efficient daily operations.
Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
Train new housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and company policies.
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; order replacements as needed.
Address guest inquiries or complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and enhance guest experiences.
Maintain records of housekeeping activities, including staff schedules and supply usage.
