Summary: The Housekeeping Assistant Manager will work closely as a “hand-on” employee and be responsible for supporting the Housekeeping Manager in all aspects of the Housekeeping department including planning, organizing, and developing the overall operations of the housekeeping department. Important Notice: This position is located in Portage la Prairie, MB. Responsibilities:
Assist the Housekeeping Manager to oversee, lead, and direct the Housekeeping operations of the housekeeping, public space, and laundry areas.
Monitor budget status and take corrective steps as appropriate.
Inspect rooms, public space, and back-of-the-house areas continually, and take action and respond to maintain services and standards.
Assists the Housekeeping Manager to develop and implement employee engagement strategies and practices.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a housekeeping or hospitality supervisory role.
Experience in inventory management, purchasing, and managing performance and productivity.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team leadership.
