JOB SUMMARY The Head Cook at Reindeer Station will play a pivotal role in our camp's culinary operations. Your responsibilities include safely managing the kitchen at the station, preparing meals for up to 50 people daily, and collaborating with clients to develop meal plans. Additionally, you will ensure the proper maintenance of water facilities, inventory management, and effective communication with the Manager, On-the-Land Programs to address any maintenance or operational concerns.
QUALIFICATIONS Applicants must be/have:
Grade 10 Education
2 years experience managing commercial kitchen and providing meals for up to 50 people
Food Safety Certification
Must be willing to work remotely for periods of time, up to 20 days away from community; and with various client types/user groups renting Reindeer Station
Ability to develop menus that balance nutrition and cater to dietary needs of guest
Ability to operate a propane stove
Ability to effectively communicate and discuss operations and maintenance concerns if they arise
