The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for accepting bid opportunities, updating bid calendar, reviewing the quality of bids, complete electrical takeoffs and prepare accurate, well-organized proposals and competitive bid packages in a timely manner. It is also the responsibility of the Estimator to represent the company in attending occasional meetings within the company, with customers, and with project owners and build new and lasting relationships within the industry.
Primary Duties:
Complete electrical bids which comply with the CEC Codes and are competitive to bids of a similar nature from other companies. The following duties are necessary:
· Analyzing drawings & specifications
· Understanding contractual terms & conditions
· Providing detailed take-offs
· Organizing sub-contractor’s quotations
· Researching utility company information related to specific job bids
· Developing cost estimate details in power lighting, lighting controls, switchgear, data, fire alarm and HVAC controls
· Providing breakout costs to managers, owners and general contractors as requested
· Reviewing subcontractor and vendor quotes for scopes of work and lowest competitive bid
· Collaborating with general contractors, and clients to discuss and meet the needs for design, corrections, and cost evaluations.
· Communication is vital, including asking for clarification, collaborating, and reporting back to team members and/or supervisors.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Basic Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 3+ years of experience in electrical estimating, preferred
· Working knowledge of Accubid, Live Count, Acrobat various other packages
· Proficient in Microsoft applications
· Understand the importance of relationship building
· Seek to accomplish the company’s goals
· Display salesmanship and excellent communication skills, as well as commitment and follow-through in daily work habits
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
This is a remote work from home opportunity for ones who have a proven record of working remotely from home and accomplishing tasks ontime. Accubid source files of takeoffs to be provided in demonstating experience. Extra work hours may be required to meet bid deadlines.

Pay: $65,956.00-$73,213.00 per year
