Daycare Director

Bright Days Premium Child Care Inc is currently seeking applicants to fll the senior role of Director at our future Canmore, Alberta location, which is expected to open in fall 2023.
We are looking for someone with excellent leadership skills, experience, and holistic ideologies and philosophies in child care to create an incredible environment for Canmore's families, your staf, and yourself.
The Director will be appointed and hired by the Owner as the principal executor of Bright Day's policy concerning admissions, operations, and programs. The
Director will be responsible for the coordination, supervision, and implementation of all aspects of the operation of the Canmore Bright Days location.

Qualifcations:
Supervisor Certifcate (level 3) with a minimum of three years of relevant practical experience as an Assistant Director or Director in a licensed setting.

  • Knowledge of children's development, licensing policies, and human resources procedures
  • Knowledge of the accreditation process
  • High standard of professionalism
  • Enthusiasm for serving the public. Ensuring that all children and clients are cared for equally and in accordance with Bright Days standards
  • Participative yet assertive management style: leads by personal example, coaching, teamwork, but not hesitant to make decisions and direct activities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen and respond appropriately to client, children, and staf needs as well as communicate with positive communication styles
  • High energy level with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent organization skills to prioritize workload in order to achieve results in a constantly changing environment
  • Able to maintain the smooth daily operation of the daycare site and function as part of a cohesive team
  • Ability to safeguard confdential information
  • Infant/Child C.P.R. and First Aid updated yearly
  • Clear criminal record check
Responsibilities:
  • Plans, organizes, directs and controls the day to day operations of the child care facility
  • Responsible for ensuring that all relevant legislative requirements are met with 100% compliance
  • Motivates and leads staf through personal example regarding client relations, site cleanliness, program development, classroom leadership, health and safety practices, staf relations, and compliance with corporate programs
  • Recruits and selects qualifed staf and oversees staf development
  • Ensures the site is ready for business with all necessary supplies and equipment
  • Maintains enrollment expectations through on-going communication with all families, accurate administration, agency promotion and hosting open houses, and waitlist management
  • Promotes open communication and teamwork with all staf through personal example and use of positive employee relations techniques
  • Maintains positive community relations
  • Resolves parent complaints through excellence in customer service and adherence to Bright Days guidelines and efcient follow-up
  • Completes accounting related duties as required efciently to maintain proper records
  • Accurately performs administrative tasks in a timely manner
  • Performs other related assignments as required

Salary: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
