Available Position: Compact Equipment Technician Mac Kay’s Truck & Trailer Center is growing, and we are currently seeking a skilled and experienced permanent full-time Compact Equipment Technician to join our Bobcat Compact Equipment team in Charlottetown, PEI. Mac Kay’s is a well-established family-owned business with over 40 years experience operating full-line Truck, Trailer & Compact Equipment dealerships, with locations in Truro & Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and now Moncton, New Brunswick. As a Compact Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of compact construction equipment, such as loaders, excavators, and tractors. The successful candidate will communicate effectively with customers and work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications and Skills:
Certification from a technical school with equivalent experience or Canadian Red Seal in Heavy Duty Equipment preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude/troubleshooting skills with attention to detail, and the ability to follow accurate instructions
Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment.
Safety training appropriate to the trade, along with an aptitude for learning new technology.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
