Position Summary Operates a large or heavy truck that transports cargo to and from specified locations on time and according to schedule. Role involves adhering to all traffic and safety regulations, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and ensuring the timely delivery of cargo to its destination.

What you will do
Operates vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations.
Conducts routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.
Manages appropriate cargo documentation and provides necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods.
Coordinates the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured.
Maintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport.
What You’ll Bring
Valid Class 1/AZ License is required
Clean 5 years Commercial driving abstract (no more than 3 demerits and 3 negative events)
Minimum 1 year Class 1 driving experience required
Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
Comfortable with smartphone technology
Reliable, flexible, punctual and safe driving behaviors
Comfortable backing in all manner of tight spaces and locations
Must be bondable and legally able to work in Canada
